We are excited to offer Youth Enrichment Programs. Our goal is to provide high-quality enrichment programs for our youth that build self-confidence through learning and fun activities.

Sports

Karate - Karate Beginners (Ages 7-12)

Youth Enrichment Karate

Youth can learn beginner to advanced karate with experienced and trained instructors from KickQuest Martial Arts. The curriculum is based on positive mental attitude and high goal setting for all ages. Students learn kicks, strikes, sparring, forms, dodging, and blocking, ascending through a system of 11 belts.   Online Registration for Karate.

Indoor Flag Football (Ages 6-13)

Play in one of the fastest growing national sport leagues. Flag football emphasizes speed, agility and skill. Players learn fundamentals of football, and how to run plays. Online Registration for Flag Football.

Thursday: 4:45 PM – 5:30 PM (6-9 year olds)

5:30 PM – 6:30 PM (10-13 year olds)

Fee: $70 per 10-week session

Basketball League (Ages 4-11)

This co-ed league, organized and run by Tonya Grant , will be helping youth expand their skills and knowledge in the game of basketball through proven techniques and fundamental training. The first two weeks are all instructional, the remaining eight weeks include 15 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of games. All youth receive equal playing time. Youth Enrichment Basketball

Basketball Co-Ed Clinic (Ages 4-13)

This clinic, run by Tonya Grant , will help boys and girls expand their skill set and knowledge in the game of basketball through proven techniques and fundamental training. This program will run for 4 weeks, which include introduction drills, team concept drills, and modified basketball games. Online Registration for Basketball Programs.

10:00 AM - 11:30 AM (Ages 4-8)

11:30 AM - 1:00 PM (Ages 9-13)

Fee: $45 for 4-week session or $18 per day to drop-in

Session:  November 18 - December 16, 2017 (No Clinic on November 25, 2017)


USTA Indoor Short Court Tennis (Ages 5-10)

Tennis

National Junior Tennis and Learning will teach tennis skills, drills, and games utilizing the USTA short court program for youth 10 and under. Online Registration for Tennis Program.

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM (5-8 year olds)

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (9-10 year olds)

Fee: $45 per month

Classes run from November 4, 2017 - March 31, 2018


Dance & Gymnastics

Youth Enrichment Dance Gymnastics

Move and Groove (Ages 5-9)

The Rech Center for Performing Arts is excited to offer a music and movement class for children ages 5-9. This class will focus on proper stretching techniques and cardio warm-up exercises to encourage muscular strength and endurance. Our students will learn fun dance and hip hop combinations each week throughout the session. These combinations will teach our student’s musicality, rhythm and give them the freedom to express their feelings through movement. This class is a great opportunity to promote social awareness and help improve their coordination. Tumbling & Gymnastics (Ages 5-9)

The Rech Center for Performing Arts is proud to offer a Tumbling and Gymnastics class for children ages 5-9. This class will focus on proper stretches and exercises to warm-up the muscles for tumbling and beginner gymnastics activities. Our class will focus on increasing flexibility, developing strength and improving coordination by using apparatus such as a low beam and horizontal bar. Each week the students will learn new skills which helps to improve concentration and mental focus. This class will promote discipline in a fun environment for the children to become physically fit and develop core strength! Online Registration for Tumbling Class.

STEM

Laser Cutting and 3D Printing (Grades 5-8)

Taught by Rutgers 4-H, learn how to use Computer Aided Design (CAD) to make your own designs to be 3D printed. Try your hand at laser cutting. We’ll make designs using a variety of materials. Learn valuable 21st century life skills like creativity and problem solving. Learn to think like an engineer. Online Registration for STEM Programs.

Intro to Robotics (Grades 2-6)

Robotics

Robotics has grown exponentially in recent years, as industries from manufacturing to food service have implemented robotic technology to streamline processes, save money and accomplish tasks too dangerous for humans. Robotics is frequently defined as the science and technology of robots, their design, manufacture and application. This program utilizes the LEGO MINDSTORMS kit to provide a great introduction to robotics. Online Registration for STEM Programs.

Intermediate Robotics- (Intro to Robotics or Robotics 101 is a prerequisite) (Grades 3-8)

We delve deeper into learning about science, technology, education and math (STEM). This class enables students to investigate and understand the operation of simple and compound machines found in everyday life. Students will also enjoy free building with LEGO EDUCATION sets and use the instructions to build and experiment on their own. Online Registration for STEM Programs.
