Kids Camp (Entering Grades K to 4 in September 2017)

Dates: June 26 – August 18, 2017
Location: Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County - 212 Centre Street, Trenton

Kids camp is a fun and exciting camp that offers a wide variety of activities ranging from educational to physical fitness. Throughout the course of the summer, youth will participate in high-yield learning activities to prevent summer learning loss, arts and crafts, computers and several other programs that promote healthy living. Campers swim and go on weekly field trips.

Tween Travel (Entering Grades 5 to 8 in September 2017) 

Fee: $125 per week

Dates: June 26 – August 11, 2017 

Tween Travel

Tweens enjoy a week full of fun including community service projects, life skills training, team building, sports and fitness activities, computer skills instruction, swimming, cooking and STEM projects. Tweens will take 3 field trips per week; two half day trips and one full day trip. Tweens will be separated into BOYS ONLY and GIRLS ONLY activity groups for daily events, swimming and half day trips.

Sports Camp (Entering Grades 3-8 in September 2017)

Fee: $110 per week

Dates: June 26 – August 11, 2017

Basketball League

Sports Camp strives to improve the overall health of campers by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition, and helping them develop healthy relationships. For each sport introduced, campers will learn the basic fundamentals skills of the game while instilling healthy competition. Various forms of dancing, individual and team games, contests and competitions are incorporated into the daily activities.

Monday Flag Football
On Flag Football Monday, campers will learn the basic fundamentals skills of the game while instilling healthy competition through contests, competitions and live football games.
Tuesday Soccer
Soccer Tuesday is designed for those players who want to develop and improve their individual soccer ability. There will be a major emphasis on passing, dribbling and shooting as well as offensive and defensive skills. Campers should bring sneakers or cleats and shin guards daily.
Wednesday Basketball
Basketball Wednesday will emphasize FUN to help our campers improve their basketball skills. Skills that campers will work on include shooting, passing, dribbling and rebounding. The camp will also address defensive techniques and one-on-one offensive moves. Campers should wear sneakers and gym clothing.
Thursday Speed and Agility
(1/2 day with Triple Play)
The Speed and Agility Thursday program is a combination of challenging and fun workouts focusing on helping young athletes take their performance to the next level. Campers will enjoy drills in speed, agility and quickness as well as balance, core strength, coordination, and dynamic flexibility stretching.

Triple Play (1/2 day with Speed and Agility)

Triple Play Thursday is Boys & Girls Club’s comprehensive health and wellness program. It strives to improve the overall health of campers by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition, and helping them develop
healthy relationships. Activities and games promote healthy physical activity through a
variety of aerobic exercise. Various forms of dancing, individual and team games, and walking are incorporated into the challenges.
Friday Field Trip Friday
Full day field trips will happen on Fridays. Some sample trips include:

2. Jenkinson's Beach
3. Funtime America
4. Bowling & a Movie

Last Blast (Entering Grades K to 8 in September 2017)

Dates: August 21 – September 1, 2017 
Location: Boys & Girls Club - 212 Center Street, Trenton

During the last two weeks of summer, campers will celebrate the end of the season in a big way! The last two weeks will be packed with arts and crafts, swimming, sports and game room tournaments and a fun field trip or special event every week.
